Kentucky comes to the Mill Bar
This Thursday, we welcome back the Berea College Bluegrass All Stars!
They play a concert at The Mill Bar Sixmilebridge, starting at 9.30, and for the measly sum of €10, payable on the door.
Top quality musicianship and vocal harmonies make these Kentucky-based folks a cert for a good night out!
Here they are in Galway:
Acoustic music - dozens of styles - at its best, in the villages of Sixmilebridge and Bunratty, County Clare in Ireland.
Sessions, concerts, pub gigs, recitals, a ceili, and maybe a poetry reading make up a sensational weekend of delightful musical experiences, where the artistes and audience get equal satisfaction from the events and the atmosphere!
The ladies of Purely Vocals, from Boston, MA, USA, said
"It is truly difficult to explain what an amazing musical experience this event was. It is so unlike anything we have seen in the states! The opportunity to expand and enjoy your musical horizons all weekend long was incredible and priceless!"
Sarah Savoy said of the 2012 festival:
See a review of the 2013 festival here.
The weekend was an impressive job of organization with so many bands and venues, ...... I also want to say that this town knows how to PARTY and I felt like I was back home in Louisiana. ..... Thank you so much for having brought us here to see what a great scene y'all have going on!
The Courthouse is family-friendly, and in the Bunratty hotels, you can enjoy live music while you eat.
The Bunratty Folk Park
hosts a day-long mini-festival, with 22 events in the park's unique settings, with the Castle featuring heavily..
