The Shannonside Winter Music Weekend is an annual event attracting an estimated 3,000 visitors to the villages of Sixmilebridge and Bunratty, County Clare. It will feature around 70 acoustic music events at over 15 venues across the villages. This festival covers a wide range of musical tastes, from bluegrass and swing to traditional Irish and classical, so there is sure to be something to suit everyone. This year, as ever, the festival has a great line up, including The Johnny Reidy Ceili Band, The Alan Kelly Gang, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, Diversus Guitar Ensemble, and Special Consensus from the US to name but a few. On Saturday 19th, Bunratty Folk Park is the place to be, with 22 shows on five stages through the day, and tickets at a special festival price. The pubs of Sixmilebridge will host numerous sessions and gigs, and there will also be performances in Bunratty Castle Hotel, and Sixmilebridge Church as well as the distinctive ambience of the intimate Courthouse concert venue.
